As card carrying Wescar members for 2017 (at least those of you that provided an email address on your membership form) the Board of Directors are now asking for your input and guidance as to the future of our series. Please review and complete the attached questionnaire and return it to this email or fax to 250 962 9600. This information will form part of the agenda for the upcoming AGM. 

Please be clear with your responses. We are looking for constructive criticism to identify problems with our series, please offer any solutions as well.

WESCAR RACE RESCHEDULED AT GOLD PAN SPEEDWAY QUESNEL

Hello All,

 

WESCAR is pleased to announce that we have been invited by the Quesnel Auto Racing Association to join them on the Sept 23 race day. This date is an originally scheduled Tri Cities Race Series event, as such we will be in a supporting role on this day. WESCAR would like to Thank both the QARA and the Tri Cities Street Stock Series for accommodating us as we complete our rescheduled 2017 Quesnel race. This combined event along with the cancelled Billy Barker Days places additional financial pressures on the local club. We are encouraging all of our loyal fans to bring along some friends to support the Quesnel Club and their continued support of our series. This will be the season finale for both race series, with close points battles throughout the field. 

This will undoubtedly result in another exciting race day as both series compete and entertain!  

 

Don't forget the previously announced Williams Lake event on Sept 9 as we build up to this finale.

 

Looking forward to a second half to our season as things rev up.

WILLIAMS LAKE WESCAR EVENT SEPTEMBER 9TH.

Hello Racers, Fans, Sponsors, and all,

As you are aware we have been forced to postpone another event for this season. The Williams Lake WESCAR Event originally scheduled for Aug 19 has been postponed until Sept 9. As many of you have probably heard the Province and Cariboo Regional District have placed bans on activities on Crown lands in certain areas, as such, and due to the strained emergency services in the Williams Lake area it would be very unwise to host an event in these locations. The Williams Lake Club has chosen to reschedule this event. WESCAR 100% agrees with this decision and look forward to this new date of Sept 9. 

On a positive note this date does not conflict with other late model activities throughout the province and is after the conclusion of many off the large events. We sincerely hope this will attract visiting and part time teams to attend. 

WESCAR anticipates an announcement regarding a rescheduled date for the Quesnel event very soon.

Both of these communities have been cornerstones of WESCAR since its inception and we sincerely hope that all active teams throughout BC will make an effort to support these events to entertain these great fans, volunteers, and sponsors.

We look forward to seeing everyone on Sept 9 for some great exciting racing action!

2017 WESCAR SAFETY TECH...IF YOU DID NOT ATTEND THE FIRST RACE DAY AND YOUR CAR HAS NOT YET BEEN THROUGH THE SAFETY TECH PLEASE SEE THE LINK BELOW FOR PRINTABLE COPY OF THE 2017 WESCAR SAFETY TECH. SHEET. HAVE A GOOD LOOK AT ALL THE ITEMS LISTED AND MAKE SURE YOUR CAR AND ESPECIALLY HELMETS AND BELTS ARE UP TO DATE, AND IN GOOD CONDITION. ALSO PLEASE BE AT THE TRACK ON TIME SO THAT THE TECH CAN BE DONE BEFORE PRACTICE STARTS.SAFETY SHEET

All officials and volunteers please note meeting scheduled for noon to assign tasks and roles.


All Racers-Pgara will be open for trailer drop off on Friday evening and has room for Camping, Hotel users are asked to support our Sandman Group Sponsors and remember to use the promo code for discounts and entry into draws. Pits will open for unloading at 11 AM on Saturday. DO NOT UNLOAD YOUR EQUIPMENT UNTIL YOU HAVE SIGNED IN AT BACK GATE!


ALL-WESCAR Memberships will be available at the back gate starting at 11 AM and must be purchased prior to entry to the pits, this is to update our contact lists, and provide future marketing data, this is crucial to our future, mandatory for our competitors, and encouraged for our sponsors, fans, and volunteers. This card will provide you some cost savings that can be used throughout the 2017 year with our marketing partners. These savings far out way the nominal fee, please encourage all of our supporters to join.

Hello sportsman racers,

We are getting the 2017 season put together, though it seems winter is hanging on longer than ever.

The schedule is set at 4 races.

June 17 - Prince George
July 15 - Quesnel Billy Barker days
July 29 - Agassiz Sportsman Invitational
August 19 - Williams Lake Memorial race

We invite any and all sportsman racers to come out and compete. All 4 of the dates are WESCAR points nights. Looking forward to getting the 2017 season underway.
